Customized and Machine Specific Training

CFC-Solar has created hundreds of customized courses for our customers. Customization can range from modifying our standard courses to creating classes from scratch based on the specific machinery that an organization uses.

Customization can mean many things. For example, when modifying course content we can adapt any given class to a specific manufacturer brand that your organization has standardized to (i.e. Bosch, Eaton etc.) and we can concentrate in specific areas of interest while skipping over topics which you designate as less important. Our extensive experience with component manufacturers enables us to be this specific, but also to know the options that other brands offer.

Another way to create customized training is by designing courses centered on the specific machinery that a given plant or organization uses. In most cases, machine specific training entails using the schematics of the machinery as part of the curriculum. If schematics don’t exist we can create them. Additionally, we can leave these animated tools behind after the course is taught as an invaluable maintenance resource. Case 1: Machine Specific Training for Auto Glass Manufacturer
A 2-day course was created using the schematics from a machine in their plant. Mixed groups of engineers and mechanics took the class in order to get a better understanding of how to troubleshoot the machine and why the machine was having problems in their environment.

Case 2: Custom Training for Die Cast Company
A large Midwest die cast company required a customized course concentrating on connectors and conductors in order to reduce the leakage problems they were experiencing.

Case 3: Machine Specific Training for Food Processing Plant
A meat processing plant required a custom series of courses. The last of these courses was taught onsite; it centered on a specific piece of machinery and included general maintenance as well as troubleshooting.

Case 4: Customized Utility Truck for Mobile Hydraulic Course
A large national energy provider required courses leading towards Fluid Power Society certification. Courses were taught onsite at their garages. We modified a customized bucket truck to create real problems, which had to be evaluated and fixed.

Case 5: Machine Specific Training in GM Plants
A national OEM installed a new line of equipment into all GM plants in the U.S. and Canada. The OEM hired CFC-Solar to conduct training at each plant on maintenance of the line.

Case 6: Customized Course for Mining Company
Conducted mobile course 1000’ underground on machinery that was used in the mining process.

Case 7: Customized Predictive Course for Injection Molding Manufacturer
Developed and taught a predictive maintenance course that was geared towards the machines the customer manufactured.

Case 8: Customized training for U.S. Navy
Developed and taught a custom course for U.S. Navy personnel on maintenance and troubleshooting of deep-sea remote-piloted machinery.

Case 9: Customized Course for Panama Canal
Developed and taught a custom course for engineers who need to better understand the high-end hydraulics involved in the canals operation.

Case 10: Customized Courses for Paper Mill
Developed a series of custom courses on safety and plant maintenance for large paper mill plant.
