Accredited Fluid Power Instructor

CFC-Solar hosts Instructor Training Workshops (ITW) to train Certified Members to become Fluid Power Society Accredited Instructors. The workshops are in the train-the-trainer format and are taught by our instructors who hold the title of FPS Staff instructor. In addition to the ITW, if one desires to be able to give the hands-on Job Performance test, they must take and pass the Job Performance Training Workshop

To register for an ITW, one must complete and sign an ITW application and send it along with a resume to FPS headquarters. (Visit www.ifps.org for the application and address) There are several criteria that must be met before completing the Accredited Instructor application. These criteria are:

• Candidate must be a member-in-good-standing of the Fluid Power Society
• Candidate must have at least 5 years experience in Fluid Power, either in industry or in a formal teaching/training position.
• Candidate must have successfully completed at least one Certification test prior to taking the ITW.
• If taking the (JPITW), candidate must have successfully completed a job performance test and hold at least one Mechanic or Technician Certification prior to taking the workshop.
